What a day !!!!!  Cameron at age 17 decided to make a public declaration of his faith in Christ and decided to get Baptised.  We had the Baptism in our backyard.  Pastor Bill Farris did the honors with Dad also, in our pool.   Proud moment for all of us !! So STOKED !!

Gotta do it !!  Here we are for 2009 !  Cameron is officially taller than Dad.

2 weeks in life goes fast. It gives you time to realize what is important.  As we run around in our busy lives with stress, goals, finance, etc etc etc.......what does it really come down to?  For us, it starts every day with God.  I am reminded of how awesome God's love is....how in control of everything he is...Looking out at the massive ocean & ever changing climate of the North Shore, I am struck by the magnifence of God's handy work.  The trip & time passes so quickly, it makes you value the moments with family & friends.  To be able to freeze frame some of these moments is why I continue to blog & post photo galleries......the moments are many, the time passes quickly, and soon we will look back to see the pages of our lives turned.....I hope that Christ love is seen in our family, for that is who we ultimately will spend our eternity with......

2 days ago, The Portuguese Man o' War (Physalia physalis), also known as the blue bubble, blue bottle, man-of-war, or the Portuguese man of war, starting washing up on the North Shore.  Simply put, jelly fish with stingers.  Chris was kite surfing at Tunnels when he felt a severe pain on his left knee and somewhat on his thigh.  He immediately came in to fine he was stung......well, one day later here is what his leg looks like !!!!!  .............NOT PRETTY.

Boys went fishing this morning on the reef.......getting into Kauai mode.......chilllllll laxxxxxxxxxx.

When you find Heaven on earth...it is hard to go somewhere else....North Shore Kauai feels so special....we arrived late Monday night. We had to fly around the Hurrican / Tropical Storm....This morning thunder and lightning.  Low tide, reef showing (pictures in gallery), by noon it was sunshine and beautiful !!!  Lisa found an octopus on the reef.  Chris was too scared to pick it up so she had to....put it in a puddle of water....the color changes were fanatastic...pics attached.

What does a household with 3 boys and two dogs do to spice things up? 

Answer: Get two cats as new additions to the household.

......I have to say, like any major movement from the ending of slavery via the Civil War, from the tearing down the wall in Germany, from the great civil right leader Martin Luther King..............a ground swell from the grass roots made postive change and attention to great causes and stood on the side of good.  Well, that is what is happening with the ground swelling of celebration and attention to all the good and positive and wonderful things 7-Eleven Stores bring to this Great Country.  One simple word:  Slurpee   

That is why we celebrate, 7-11 (7-Eleven Stores) on 7-11 (July 11th) at 7:11 (time) at night.

A petition to your congressman/woman, spend time a local 7-11 passing out flyers chewing gum, encourage the skateboarders that hang out at the 7-11 to spread the word.....join the movement.

Cameron is a sophmore at St. Margaret's Episcopal School. Coming off of a three week knee injury, he swam the 200 Free and 500 Free for his school at league championships.  He swam his fastest 200 Free at 1:48:04, in winning over his very good friend from another school by .10 !!!!  He swam & won the 500 Free a hour later, in 4:52, lapping the entire field.  His studly picture is in the photo gallery section.  He is a double champion !!

South Padre Island (SPI if your local) 2009 was a success!  It is always a gamble flying in on Thursday, looking for wind on Friday & Saturday, and leaving Sunday.  Mother nature sometimes does not produce the goods....this year, was good.  Friday was light but rideable, the wind was on the low end of 13mph - 16mph.  Unfortunately, Friday was video day so the jumps were as good as it gets in lighter wind.......check out the video under Movie Gallery....I was riding my largest kite (13 meter).  Saturday was the best.  20-30mph all morning long !!!  I was out so long my hands went raw.  Cameron & Papa Jim went boat fishing Saturday morning, for some reason they didn't enjoy the 30 mph winds...hmmmm.

....get ready ....set ...go...Cameron / Dad / and Grandpop Jim are off to South Padre Texas so that Chris can kite surf !!!

Well well well......Brandon played in his last 8th grade Lacrosse tournament....his last game ended with craziness...yes craziness.  About 3 mins into the 3rd quarter Brandon scored a goal!! putiing his team up 7 to 0...but then the already rough played game started getting out of control.  Refs throwing flags and the LaCrosse game looked more and more like football....anyway...the refs stopped the game and called it after the 3rd quarter!!!  No 4th quarter play.....bye bye Lacrosse ...HELLO ...crosscountry and track!! I put some pictures of Brandon's last goal up on the photo gallery.

Brandon went to Richmond Virginia. His cross country team place 3rd overall making him a "All American" cross country runner for 2008!!

It is Sunday and we are back home in San Juan Capistrano. The boys start school, Cameron 10th / Brandon 8th / Collin 6th grade. Cameron is now driving....boy the real world hits you fast. Here are some closing memories of our trip.....Aloha!

Sunday night....I am so tired..way too much fun in the sun & surf....The day started with going to North Shore Christian Church...I included some photos of the tent we worshiped in....the Word of God is powerful in Kauai, just like anywhere else in the world, "It is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12)....we were absolutely blessed to have a chance to worship Christ in such a gorgeous setting....I hope you enjoy the misc shots I am posting....stay tuned for more...

Sorry...I know it is not all "About Chris"...but...so far I have kited for 2hrs a day, 4 days in a row..wind about 20-25knots..in these shots I was out all by myself...NO other kites!!! Ooooo...the moments in life you treasure!! Our second annual celebration took place yesterday. The Price Family / The Pryer Family & friends / and The Terry Family gathered on July 11th....YES 7-11 to meet at the 7-11 store at 7:11 pm to celebrate nothing more than being at 7-11 on 7-11 at 7:11....Free Slurpees for all!! It is our second annual pilgrimage to the La Paz Store where Parminder the cashier celebrates the moment with us!!

Collin is playing 5th grade All Net basketball....Indoor Basketball photograhy is difficult...No Flash / Very low lighted gyms / Lots of Fast Motion......that equation is extremely tough for good action shots.....hope you enjoy the photos on this gallery.

Chris / Collin and Papa (Jim) headed down to the Gulf of Mexico for KiteBoarding and Fishing. Chris hooked up with a local pro, put on a radio helmet and did his first jump 360 degree roll and land!! Check out how crowded it was !!!
